• Strain overview
What Is Gelato 33?
Gelato 33 is one of the strains that defined the modern "dessert" category of cannabis. Bred in the Bay Area from a cross of Sunset Sherbet and Thin Mint Girl Scout Cookies, it built its reputation on dense, resin-heavy buds and a sweet, creamy flavor that set it apart from the sharper, gassier strains around it at the time. Sometimes called "Larry Bird" after the basketball legend's jersey number, it's a roughly balanced hybrid — slightly indica-leaning — that relaxes without flattening you. THC typically runs 20–25%, giving it real strength for experienced consumers while staying approachable for anyone comfortable with moderate-to-strong hybrids. It's one of the strains we rotate through our New Jersey menu, so availability moves with each drop — the live menu is always the source of truth for what's in stock today.

Balanced Hybrid
Gelato 33 crosses Sunset Sherbet, known for its sweet, fruity profile and uplifting-yet-relaxing effect, with Thin Mint GSC (a Girl Scout Cookies phenotype), known for its dense structure and minty, earthy depth. The pairing traces back further to OG Kush and Durban Poison in its broader lineage, which shows up in Gelato 33's resin production and structural density.

Appearance & Cultivation Notes
We source our Gelato 33 from cultivators who preserve what made this strain iconic — dense, resin-crusted buds with real bag appeal, not a rushed or over-dried version. Expect deep green to violet coloration, bright orange pistils, and a heavy, crystalline trichome coating.
Start with one small inhale, then wait a full 15 minutes before taking more with flower or vape. With edibles, wait two full hours before redosing. This is general information, not medical advice — individual tolerance and body chemistry vary.
- Dense bud structure with visible, heavy trichome coverage
- Sourced from growers who prioritize slow curing to preserve the dessert-forward terpene profile
- Every batch lab-tested for potency and purity before it reaches your order
- Storage: Keep Gelato 33 in a cool, dark, airtight container. Its resin-heavy structure is sensitive to heat and light — proper storage keeps both potency and flavor intact.
